18 Lessons in 18 Months❤ 3/8/21

  1. God's timing is perfect. Y'all we have absolutely no idea how detailed His timing is. He is working on things right now that won't be applicable until 30 years from now but when it all unfolds, it'll be a miracle to everyone involved. He is so aware. 2. His grace is and always will be sufficient. 3. Arizona sunsets are UNBEATABLE. 4. There is beauty in opposition. That is the time you come to know God and see Him the way you can see the galaxies in the dark. 5. There is a reality of angels all around us. He never leaves us comfortless and that comfort comes in a variety of ways.  6. True humility is never something negative. We don't lower ourselves to be humble. True humility comes only once we see our potential.  7. Scorpions are the scariest things on planet earth. Don't even try to change my mind they are so scary and definitely of the devil. 8. It is OK to not be ok. There is power in acknowledgment. What matters is how you move forward, but give yours...

Hey y'all! Happy Valentines/Presidents day! Holidays are weird on the mission, I honestly forget it about them most of the time so here we are. But regardless I hope y'all had an awesome week and great weekend !  This week honestly flew so it's hard to remember what even happened ! We had zone conference this week and it was so. good. Holy cow the trainings were just awesome. Outside of that it was a lot of editing time which I already finished the video I was working on so that time has turned into additional study time (the best time evaa).  Honestly the highlight of my week was today we got to leave the mission with 7 other missionaries to go pick up brand new cars for the mission and drive them back ALONE for 40 miles. Y'all I haven't driven alone in 18 months lemme tell ya it was a weird experience. But so fun! I'll include a picture of the group we went with.  I have been having some awesome studies the last few weeks and if I could share them all I would,...

H ey friends and family !!! I am so sorry I didn't email last week! It's been an insane few weeks but here is the rundown... •We moved apartments and it took a solid week of scrubbing every single day to get the boy smell out but it looks DANG good. Best transformation I've seen. The whole we were saying how we felt like we were on one of those house flip shows. A quick list of things we found... a gummy worm in a vent, an earplug stuck to the wall, brown splatters over an entire room (all four walls and ceiling) which we thought were boogers but turned out to be banana from when they were throwing bananas at their ceiling fan, and peels from a full orange on top of a bookshelf. AHH!πŸ˜‚ •Our friend Julie got BAPTIZED !! It was the best day! I'll attach pictures. •My companionship got called to be mission video editors so I spend a few hours every day in the mission office editing. It's actually pretty cool ! We also get to see President and Sister Goaslind almost dai...

Hey everyone!! Holy cow how the heck did time fly so fast? I'm in my LAST TRANSFER... Time is so weird. Transfer calls happened and quite a bit changed! Not in terms of my companions we are all staying together! So excited about that! But I got released as a Sister training leader which is actually really nice to not be one my last transfer, and we are changing apartments! But.. said apartment is currently an Elders apartment, so prayers this week would be appreciated as we have to deep clean the apartment.πŸ₯΅ This week was honestly really long, we spent a ton of time at the mission office doing projects and helping out the office couples. Outside of that I learned how to play a couple songs on the cello (for those who don't know I have DREAMED of playing the cello and so it was a major highlight to get to play one for the first time) and I held the snake AGAIN! Way easier this time, ever so slightly overcoming my fear. Other than that we just had some awesome meetings with memb...

The Refiners FireπŸ”₯ 1/18/21

Hey everyone !! Sorry for not writing last week! But these last few weeks were awesome!  Our friend Julie was supposed to be baptized but her roommate got COVID so we had to push it out a few weeks! Hopefully it will all work out this time(:  Other than that we have just been super busy teaching a TON of lessons, having mission leadership conference, and spending a lot of time at the mission home working on editing and helping the office couples!! (I'll attach pictures!) Had a really cool thought this week though - I'll share that for my spiritual thought this week (:  Here is a quote from the talk 'The Refiners Fire':  "If there were no night, we would not appreciate the day, nor could we see the stars and the vastness of the heavens. We must partake of the bitter with the sweet. There is a divine purpose in the adversities we encounter every day."  There is beauty in opposition. Why? Because of exactly what this quote says. We would not appreciate the light ...

SNAKE - 1/4/21

Hello everyone!  Welp... here we go 2021! What a week already. This area is just amazing and I love my companions so much! We have had an absolute blast with the work. Julie is getting baptized in two weeks so we have been working to finalize all the details with that. She is so awesome! Please keep her in your prayers as her baptismal date gets closer!  Other than that the highlights for the week definitely consist of finding a new person to teach, getting in contact with a few of our people that we haven't gotten in touch with for a little bit, having some really good food, and conquering my fear... y'all I held a SNAKE this week! Literally the worst experience ever but hey I got a sweet picture out of it! (I'll attach it to the email).  This week we have been sharing Matthew 2:10-11 with a lot of our members. These verses talk about the Wisemen. We have been reflecting the nature of the Wisemen this week and how in reality it took years for them to finally reach C...

Happy New Year !!πŸŽ† 12/28/20

Hey everyone!! I hope y'all had a Merry Christmas!! It was so relaxing for us. We called our families, took a nap, and played sports with our zone. It was so fun!  This week honestly was just a blast. We went caroling on Tuesday and Wednesday. I and two other missionaries had ukuleles so we learned a few songs and played along. It was so fun! We had a few really cool experiences though, one of which happened twice. We were at an apartment complex and started caroling to this one lady. After the first song though we heard clapping behind us and turned to see multiple doors open and people on their patios listening in. We ended up caroling to way more than just the people we had planned!  Outside of that we had a pretty relaxed week with all the activities planned and Christmas day. I guess only other highlight is I gave a talk in sacrament meeting about choices and goals and it went really well! As it gets closer to New Years and resolutions are made, remember this story. "Most...
