Looking beyond the 'mark'๐Ÿ’› 2/15/21

Hey y'all!

Happy Valentines/Presidents day! Holidays are weird on the mission, I honestly forget it about them most of the time so here we are. But regardless I hope y'all had an awesome week and great weekend !
This week honestly flew so it's hard to remember what even happened ! We had zone conference this week and it was so. good. Holy cow the trainings were just awesome. Outside of that it was a lot of editing time which I already finished the video I was working on so that time has turned into additional study time (the best time evaa).
Honestly the highlight of my week was today we got to leave the mission with 7 other missionaries to go pick up brand new cars for the mission and drive them back ALONE for 40 miles. Y'all I haven't driven alone in 18 months lemme tell ya it was a weird experience. But so fun! I'll include a picture of the group we went with.
I have been having some awesome studies the last few weeks and if I could share them all I would, but that would be a dang long email so I'll just share one thing. I have been reading in Jacob and it's honestly taken me a minute to get through because there is SO MUCH good stuff in there !! In verse 14 it says, "...Wherefore, because of their blindness, which blindness came by looking beyond the mark...". I've always thought I understood that phrase, but this week I did some digging. What does it mean to look beyond the mark?. A definition of mark is a scar, and a definition of scar is something left by the healing of something injured.
How often in our stubborn efforts try to do/accomplish/fix/overcome things by ourselves? Think of the marks and scars left in Jesus Christ. Those scars are a result and were left by healing something injured. Healing US. So why do we try to do it ourselves? In this sense, how often do we look beyond the mark? How often do we look beyond what has already been felt and healed? Don't look beyond Jesus Christ. Don't look past the simplicity that is in Him (2 Cor 11:3). Let Him heal you.❤
Love y'all!
