The Refiners Fire🔥 1/18/21

Hey everyone !!

Sorry for not writing last week! But these last few weeks were awesome!  Our friend Julie was supposed to be baptized but her roommate got COVID so we had to push it out a few weeks! Hopefully it will all work out this time(:
Other than that we have just been super busy teaching a TON of lessons, having mission leadership conference, and spending a lot of time at the mission home working on editing and helping the office couples!! (I'll attach pictures!)

Had a really cool thought this week though - I'll share that for my spiritual thought this week (:
Here is a quote from the talk 'The Refiners Fire':
"If there were no night, we would not appreciate the day, nor could we see the stars and the vastness of the heavens. We must partake of the bitter with the sweet. There is a divine purpose in the adversities we encounter every day."
There is beauty in opposition. Why? Because of exactly what this quote says. We would not appreciate the light if there was no darkness. Well often times we come to know God the greatest in our extremities, in that darkness. Again, why? Because in a literal sense, we can see the heavens much clearer in the night when it's dark. In the light, the stars and galaxies still exist, but we can truly see them and recognize them most in the dark. I can imagine our trials are the same way. There really is a beautiful and divine purpose in adversity.
I love y'all so much!
