TEMPE! 11/9/20

Hi everyone!

Well its been a week since being back in Tempe and OH MY GOSH I love it!! Honestly I was so sad to leave Yuma. I loved the people there! But God is so good and sent me to such an amazing place with two incredible companions. I have had an awesome couple days. Here are some of the highlights...:
Met my companions on Wednesday and they're seriously the cutest humans ever. Sister Layton goes home this transfer and Sister Packer just got out of training but the dynamic is awesome. We teach so well together! 




We had mission leadership conference this Thursday and learned some incredible principles from our mission President. He emphasized the power of love and helping our stewardships aim high and reach their potential. <- He cried as he was talking about this, it was so spiritual. 
We met with Julie this week (someone we're teaching) and.... PUT HER ON DATE FOR BAPTISM!! Whoooooo!! It was so powerful! Best day ever. 
We teach an ARP program and man that was a different experience but also really cool. 
We had a mission Devotional with Elaine Dalton last night that was SO good! She talked about the importance of being virtuous and the power that comes from it. 
Honestly there was so much more but it was just so good. I am so hyped to be in this area and in this zone! I guess for my spiritual thought, just be patient. The Lord is keenly aware of everything we experience. He has plans in store for us that we have no idea and when they don't feel like they're coming, remember He is right there with you. 
""We have every reason to rejoice, for our Lord and Savior is keenly aware of our troubles, cares, and sorrows. As Jesus was with His disciples of old, He is in our boat!"

"Testify Before Turned Down" 9/30/19

Hello friends and family! It has been such an amazing week full of crazy stories and cool experiences. I definitely can't share them all because this email would be WAY too long but here are a few! We had zone conference this week and they talked all about how important it is to remember your purpose. Teach off your purpose. Don't become stagnant. And to learn how to stand independent. It was such a good refresher and boost for the start of the week. Wednesday we had exchanges so I was out with the Hermanas in Guadalupe all day! I realized very quickly my 5 years of Spanish I understood 60-70% of everything that was said that day but could do little communicating back. So I learned how to pray in Spanish and have started to read the Book of Mormon in Spanish! I've also already memorized the missionary purpose and first vision. Also may have emailed President how much I loved learning and teaching in Spanish... so we will see where that goes!  Si...

1st Email from the MTC - 8/27/19

Hello Friends and Family! What a crazy ride it has already been! The MTC is honestly heaven. It is crazy, busy, exciting, and unpredictable. The days are so long but are filled with learning so much about teaching and building our testimonies of Jesus Christ. I can't even express how much my testimony has already grown. The spirit here is indescribable. You really can't help but feel it in every lesson, workshop, and just walking the grounds.  My companion is Sister Wright and she is just AMAZING. We get along so well. She is from Pocatello, Idaho and is going to be serving in Edmonton, Canada! It's crazy how our district is set up. All six Elders are serving in Seattle, 4 sisters are in Detroit, 3 of us are heading to Tempe, and Sister Wright to Canada. But today after our temple visit we found 6 more sisters serving with her so she knows who she'll be heading into the mission field with.
