Tarry a Little Longer☀️ 5/4/20
Hello everyone!
I don't have much time to write today but I am doing great! We have had a really great week. We did exchanges because we found out that our mission will be getting 14 new missionaries every Tuesday for the next 6 weeks.. So we are all expecting quite a lot of changes! But it will be really great. :)
My studies this week were also really great. I have been learning so much with this additional time we have. This week i was in 3rd Nephi 17. I had actually been given a different perspective on this chapter from my sister training leader. If you read the first few verses Christ has finished talking and told the multitude they need to go and ponder and pray about what they just heard. She related this to one of our lessons in talking about the importance of reading our scriptures and saying our prayers. This put a new perspective on verse 5:
"And it came to pass that when Jesus had thus spoken, he cast his eyes round about again on the multitude, and beheld they were in tears, and did look steadfastly upon him as if they would ask him to tarry a little longer with them."
Now think about our personal studies. Do I view that time as my time with Christ? Do I have the ability to hear Him so much that when my study ends, i almost want to be in tears because I want to "tarry a little longer" with Him? Our study isn't, and never should be a check off the list. We can truly come to know Him and Hear Him as we read, ponder, and pray each day.
Love you all so much!!
Sister Callister
