Quarantine and Christmas🎄 11/30/20
Hi everyone!
December is TOMORROW. I swear November didn't even happen that is so insane. I am so excited for Christmas though. I am in the best ward with the greatest members teaching some amazing people. Really what more could you ask for??
This week was crazy. We had Thanksgiving all planned out... then our roommates started showing symptoms and we, being exposed had to go get COVID tested on Wednesday. That put us into quarantine until we got our results back Friday morning. So Thanksgiving was spent inside but we ended up having a total blast! We played a ton of games, got a plate of food, went on a walk, and enjoyed wearing sweatpants ALL DAY. It was so good!
But on an even better note our results came back negative so we got out of quarantine and ended up finding 3 new people to teach, got in contact with some recent converts, made pies with the Goaslinds, and got someone to church! This week was SO GOOD!
This Sunday one of our members spoke on our mission Sunday service and holy cow it was so good! She talked about peace and brought a perspective I hadn't really considered. She mentioned a song that talks about peace being like a river. She said how interesting it was being rivers are choppy and rough and when you think about peace generally you think of stillness. But maybe that isn't what peace is at all. Maybe peace is like a river in that it is steady and consistent. It can be discouraging to think about cultivating peace in your life when everything seems so crazy. But to know we can still have peace amidst the choppy and rough parts makes it just a little more possible. Hope y'all found that as cool as I did!
Anyways I love y'all! Have an amazing week!
