Halfway Through Transfer Two! 11/11/19
Hi friends and family!
I hope you have all had an amazing week! This one has been full of ups and downs, lots of walking, and miracles. It is CRAZY that Thanksgiving is so close though, its still in the high 80s here and the lack of snow is throwing me off.
We walked probably around 50 miles this week. Our car had the check engine light go on and off for a couple days so we took it in. The dealership said if we dropped it off in the morning they would know what was going on in an hour and a half max. Well, 3 days later we get our car back and nothing was wrong! But, all is good. We had a blast walking!
We had some pretty amazing miracles this week that seriously strengthened my testimony. It was around 8 one night and we had a specific person we wanted to visit. So we pulled up the street and started walking to the house. We noticed a man loading a truck across the street so we waved and continued to the house. After a few knocks and no answer we turned to leave. As we walked down the driveway the man across the street walked into the garage so we turned to leave. Just then the spirit VERY loudly said 'Don't even think about leaving without talking to him'. So we stopped and stood on the sidewalk until he walked back out. He asked how we were doing and so I put my arms out and said "We're great! it's always a good day when we get to talk about Jesus!". He immediately opened up and come to find out he had investigated the church in the past and was almost baptized! He talked about memories he had and how much he missed it. Then he said "I think it was meant to be that no one was home at that house so you could talk to me. I think He is talking through you." Ahhh! Bummer part is he doesn't live in our area, but he was really wanting missionaries to come back so we sent him off to the other missionaries! Miracles!
Sister Snelgrove and I were asked to teach our zone this week on what it means to endure to the end. We are so excited! It is crazy we have wanted more opportunities to teach and connect with members so we taught the young women yesterday, we got asked to teach Relief Society on Nov 24, and Sunday School on Dec 1st. The lesson with the young women went amazing. We taught them how to teach lesson one, The Restoration, because their youth activity this week is all about missionary work. I had this idea for a youth activity and the young women's president loved it! They are getting paired up with a leader or ward missionary then going to different classrooms in the church that will have another ward member and they are going to teach the Restoration! Hopefully it goes well, we will see!
I love you all so much! The talk for this week is "Are you sleeping through the Restoration?" By Elder Uchtdorf. It is SO good! Have a great week!
