Divine Discontent - 10/28/19

 Hello friends and family!

What an amazing week! I learned so much and had some of the coolest experiences that have continued to help me grow and develop to being a more worthy tool in Heavenly Father's hands.
We had some great lessons this week that definitely pushed me. We have a couple that we are teaching that know the Bible in and out. So when we were teaching the Plan of Salvation this week they started asking questions of where they can find the answers in the Bible. What was cool is when I was starting my study that morning I had specifically felt prompted to study Bible verses that would relate to the Plan of Salvation. I was able to use almost every single verse I had studied to provide clarification to all their questions. It was such a blessing.
We also had an experience that testified to both of us the importance of following the spirit. We were walking through an apartment complex later at night that we had been multiple times before. We went to knock a door and they didnt answer so we decided to take a lap through the complex. Once we started walking Sister Snelgrove said she didnt feel right about being there. Right when she said that I realized that I, too, felt off about being there so we turned around and started walking to the car. As we were walking the feeling just started to grow more and more. I felt so sick to my stomach I knew that we had to get out of there immediately. We got to the car and as Sister Snelgrove says she will back me out (because it's a rule as missionaries to back out of the car) and I looked at her and told her to get in the car. I dont know why but I did not feel comfortable leaving her outside by herself but we backed out and got out of there. Right when we left the feeling was gone. We have no idea what would have happened but we are so grateful we were kept safe.
This week I read some amazing talks but one that I LOVED was Divine Discontent by Michelle Craig. I invite each of you to read this and see how you can apply it to your life because it is such an inspired talk! My favorite part is when she references the story of Christ feeding the 5000. It starts off with the disciples seeing what they lack. They knew the didnt have enough food to feed the 5000, but they gave what they had to Christ, and HE performed the miracle. We can easily see what we lack. We see what we may fall short in. But we are not required to make up the difference. We just need to give all we have to Jesus Christ and He will make up the rest.
I love you all so much!! I'll attach some pictures from the trunk or treat (the guy that took the picture told us to look exhausted 😂) a picture from decorating cookies with activity day girls, a scary doll thing that I thought was funny, and some fun companion goals we made this transfer. 😊
