Hey everyone!
It seriously was such a crazy week! Sister Miner and I had a lot of meetings nearly every day. We had our mission leadership conference in Tempe so we had a road trip Tuesday and Wednesday. Then we had exchanges with the other Sisters on Thursday and a few meetings Saturday and Sunday. It flew by so fast but I'm also exhausted!
We were still able to see some awesome miracles though. We did a ton of service with people we are teaching as well as someone who was found by other Sisters in the zone so we have a new person to teach! God is so good.(:
For my spiritual note this week I wanted to actually talk about the beauty of reading hymns. We sing hymns all the time , but how often do we take time to read them? I had a few days that I was struggling this week, but I was reading in this awesome booklet called 'Adjusting to missionary life' and it suggested an idea of reading some hymns. Here is some lyrics from one that really helped me,
Is your heart faint and sad,
Your soul weary within,
As you toil ’neath your burden of care?
Does the load heavy seem
You are forced now to lift?
Is there no one your burden to share?
Let your heart be not faint
Now the journey’s begun;
There is One who still beckons to you.
So look upward in joy
And take hold of his hand;
He will lead you to heights that are new—
A land holy and pure,
Where all trouble doth end,
And your life shall be free from all sin,
Where no tears shall be shed,
For no sorrows remain.
Take his hand and with him enter in.
I love you all! Never forget that He is always there.
