Last day in the MTC - 9/9/19
Hello family and friends!
Well, time flew by, I am heading to Arizona tomorrow morning! I am so excited to get there and to meet my Mission President, his wife, my trainer, really just everyone. I came down with a nasty cold though so any and all prayers would be so greatly appreciated!!
I don't have much time to write since today is comprised of classes, packing, doing laundry, and cleaning, ill keep this short and sweet. :)
Faith is the foundation of literally every principle in the gospel. If you've ever read Preach My Gospel, I don't think there is a single lesson, chapter, or maybe even page that doesn't talk about how vital and necessary faith is. Faith is a principle of action. These actions include praying, reading scriptures, going to church, attending the temple, etc. Faith is required in our own personal conversion. Without it, there would be no progress made in this life. I find that as I study about daily repentance (following after the example of my dad (: ... ) that faith is also necessary for repentance. Never forget how often you act in faith. Ask yourself, what does faith mean to me? How have I used faith today? Never forget how vital it is to read our scriptures and pray each day. It is the foundation of our testimonies and the foundation to build off of.
I love you all so much!
PS here are some fun pictures with my companion and district!
Hello family!
Just had to let you know I made it safe to Arizona. It is HOT. We landed around 12 and were immediately greeted by our Mission President and his wife. We took a few pictures, went to the Gilbert temple, took more pictures, then headed to ASU to proselyte and hand out copies of the Book of Mormon. We handed out two and one guy was interested in attending church! there were plenty of rejections but I'm following the advice of my teacher and embracing the awkward!
We have been going since 3:45 this morning so were all pretty exhausted. Not only to finish up packing but then we were waiting for the bus in the rain for 15 minutes, rode that to the train that we were on for an hour, then another train for 20 minutes, then a plane for an hour and a half, then picked up and in the car for 45 minutes between ASU and back, now were in training. :) but I had a great conversation about God and Jesus Christ with the man sitting next to me on the plane. I am so excited for this work, I cant wait to put my whole heart and soul into this.
