Miracles Everywhere! 1/27/20

 Dear friends and family,

What an AMAZING WEEK! Oh my goodness if I could write all the experiences that happened this email would be way too long.
It started off Monday night putting someone on date for baptism! YAY! The older sister is already on date so we talked to the brother and from sharing some experiences about my baptism that the spirit prompted me to share he committed to be baptized February 8th with his sister! The spirit was so strong that night. Now comes the planning of a baptism which is a LOT of work but so worth it!
Yesterday Sister Miner and I felt like we wanted extra exercise (we have been doing some killer workouts and are both pretty sore) so we walked all day. We ended up walking 10.5 miles and had the BEST DAY. We met some of the nicest people. Literally people were so kind. It was honestly actually all guys that talked to us but nonetheless so nice! I got to speak Spanish to one nice old man who did not understand why two girls in dresses would be walking in South Phoenix, then we had a few amazing lessons with a returning member and an investigator, met more people we haven't gotten in to see from the ward, and had other killer contacts. Towards the end of the night we stopped at a gas station to get some Gatorade and opened the door for a guy ahead of us. We walked in after then Sister Miner hears him saying "hey hey hey!" We turn around and he says "you held the door open for me, thank you so much!" And hands us $20! It was really nice but also sad that holding a door is that "rare". But hey, he bought our Gatorade! Then we walk out and I held the door for this other man who looked at our nametags, giggled and was like "Ahhhh yeah God Bless!". Overall just an awesome day with awesome people!
Now, I tell this story because yes it was great and I want to share it, but mostly because of what happened the night before. We had a slow few days and I was feeling bummed out. Missions are hard. They are the best, but they are really difficult. After a few days of no luck and cancelled lessons, I found myself on my knees Friday night pleading with Heavenly Father to help me feel the spirit of missionary work. To help me see how I can be used as an instrument in His hands. I asked that He would just help me. Now, God did not have to answer my prayer so quick and so miraculously. But He did. He did not have to give me person after person, contact after contact but He did. God knew I needed it and in His mercy and love provided me with a day that fortified every bit of my testimony of missionary work. Keep in mind this is not always how God answers our prayers, but don't ever fail to recognize the tender mercies of immediate answers to prayers. I promise each of you that God is answering your prayers. If you don't see it now that is ok, because He is working on something that may come tomorrow, next week, or next year but that will bless your life in every possible way. He loves you! He knows you! I testify that God hears us. He is just waiting for us to reach out.
I love you all!! I promise I am sending more pictures this week!

Here are some of S. Miner and me. Then we got to also drive to Casa Grande for a baptism of one of S. Miners investigators! We also found a street that both reminded us of home because everyone had cows and horses. We also met a turtle and a donkey!

Thought I would send our P Day activity... we went to a worm farm!! There isn't much to do here, but we had fun!😊
